Happy Post Super Bowl Monday!! 🏈 Congrats Kansas City Chiefs for winning Super Bowl LVII!! 🏆 My hubby was rooting for them over Philadelphia Eagles so he’s happy with this turnout. I did not watch the game, I only tuned in for the last 5 minutes to see Chief beat Eagles 38-35, woot!!
As an Advertising major, I used to watch Super Bowl just for the ads. I haven’t been paying attention to how much commercials cost, but for sure the price tag just kept going up and up. Per Forbes, a 30-second Super Bowl commercial costs a record-high average of $7 million this year. Speaking of… whatever Squarespace is paying Adam Driver, I bet it’s well worth it!! 🤩

This looks intense… an hour and a half of pure adrenaline rush with fit, sweaty Adam Driver. I’m getting LOTR Aragorn vibe with his long-ish wet hair, heck yeah! March 10 can’t come soon enough!
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves

I’ve never been a gamer and have never even seen even a minute of Dungeons & Dragons video game, but the movie trailer looks like a heap of fun!! Chris Pine, Hugh Grant, Regé-Jean Page, plus a bad-ass Michelle Rodriguez… LOVE this cast!! The trailers made me laugh, glad it’s released on March 31 instead of this Summer so we don’t have too long to wait.

Hey it’s Ben Affleck + Matt Damon on-screen reunion in a movie that Affleck directed, a first of his that is not a crime thriller. I personally have no idea about Vaccaro’s story so this is an interesting BOAT (based on a true story). I’m glad to see newly-minted EGOT winner Viola Davis playing Jordan’s mother Deloris. Just don’t ask who’ll play Michael Jordan as he won’t be in the movie nor does he need to be. The movie is out on April 5.
The Flash

Honestly, I’m only excited to see this standalone The Flash movie for the two Batmans: Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton – for sure the last time we’ll see them as the Caped Crusader, given the DC Universe retooling. I can’t stand Ezra Miller, even before all his troubling criminal allegations, I kept hoping they’d recast him with Grant Gustin who’s terrific as Barry Allen/ The Flash in the series that director Greg Berlanti himself created. Alas, that’s not to be but hopefully, the movie would still be watchable.
This movie has been delayed multiple times but it’s finally set for release in June.

I only care about the game, so I didn’t pay attention to any of the commercials. As for the trailers, the only one that interests me is 65. I was curious about The Flash, seeing Keaton as Batman again was cool but as usual, the film’s full of video game like CGI and looks boring to me. If it gets good reviews, I might see it in theater but more likely I’ll wait till it hits HBO Max.
I’m glad to see Keaton donning his Batsuit again for likely the final time, but yeah I don’t have a high expectations about the movie. I’m bummed they didn’t replace Ezra Miller while others who haven’t even been criminally charged have been ‘canceled.’
I think, logistically they can’t replace Miller, I’m sure they want to. From what I read, the production already cost the studio over $300mil because of delays and reshoots. To recast and reshoot Miller’s part for the movie, it will cost them a lot more. Of course, they want to make back those millions they’ve already spent on it, But as usual, they’re a couple of years behind Marvel when it comes to similar story and I don’t know if The Flash will make as much or even close to what Spider-Man: No Way Home made at the box office.
The Adam Driver commercials are awesome. There’s only 2 reasons I want to see The Flash: Supergirl and…. MICHAEL KEATON AS BATMAN MOTHERFUCKER!!!! I’m still on the fence about it because of Ezra Miller as I really don’t like that asshole. 65 looks interesting as does Dungeons and Dragons while Air looks interesting though… not as interesting as Ben Affleck working at Dunkin Donuts. I love that commercial. My favorite trailer is definitely Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 as that just looks incredible.
Not a fan of the game as the refs fucked it up as I’m now starting to think that the game was rigged in favor of the Chiefs and that’s fucking bullshit. I feel bad for the people at Philadelphia yet I’m more upset that Cincinnati got robbed of appearing at the Super Bowl. Fuck Roger Goodell. He’s the worst commissioner in the NFL ever.
I did enjoy the halftime show though I got fucking scared at seeing Rhianna on those levitated platforms as I was afraid about the idea of those wires breaking. Now knowing that she is indeed pregnant and managed to pull off a hell of a performance has me showing more respect for this woman. Plus, she’s better than Beyonce.
I already seen the two Squarespace commercials ahead of the game and I LOVE them!! Adam Driver makes EVERYTHING looks good!
Yep, I’m the same about Ezra, he should’ve been replaced!!! I love the cast of Dungeons & Dragons, esp w/ Hugh Grant hamming it up as the villain, classic!
I did see Affleck’s Dunkin’s commericals, those are hilarious! Even the outtakes are fun to watch.
I didn’t see the halftime show, I’m planning to watch it later on YT, but I love Rihana and I enjoy her songs more than Beyonce’s.
Anything with Driver and Chris Pine–I can’t keep my eyes of them. Yes!
