I’m a little late to this but I promised Brittani @ Rambling Film I’d do this when I get back from holiday. I can’t possibly missed not participating in her debut blogathon! Here are the rules:
1) Going through the alphabet, list your favorite movie title beginning with each letter.
2) You don’t have to necessarily like the movie to use it’s title.
3) Use the banner at the top of this post in yours.
4) Please have submissions in by Friday, May 30th*.
Now, even though Brittani said I don’t have to like the movie to use its title, my list consist of movies I love, not always a favorite but those I don’t mind seeing more than once. Of course there are a couple of guilty pleasures thrown in. For the purpose of narrowing things down, I’m only including movies from 90s and up. So here goes:
Check out what my fellow bloggers pick for their Favorite Movie Titles here.
So that’s that folks. Are any of your favorites on my list?
Lots of great films here, Ruth. Wonderful list and job (especially your graphic work with the alphabet movie titles and images). Well done.
Awww thank you Michael, that means a lot coming from you.
Thank you for participating! I’m glad you did. The King’s Speech and Nowhere Boy are great titles. I never really thought about those two before.
Oh I wouldn’t miss it Brittani, it’s a great idea. I had fun making these, I might do another one w/ classic movies as I only go with titles from the 90s and up for this one 🙂
Good stuff. Some really good titles thrown in there Ruth.
Thanks Keith! I hope you’d participate in this too, curious to see your picks 😉
Awesome! I love the graphics, and damn, wish I would’ve thought of How to Train Your Dragon too!
Thanks Elina. I LOVE HTTYD and since I just saw the sequel last night, I knew I had to throw it in there.
Great list!
Why thank you!
Nice picks Ruth! Titles like Four Weddings and a Funeral, 10 Things I Hate About You, How to Train Your Dragon, and Zero Dark Thirty are pretty great, indeed.
Hello Josh! Some of the choices here are pretty easy. I figure it might be tough for you as you saw sooo many movies 😀
That’s a great list… btw, where’s U?
Oh my, I made one but for some reason it got deleted! Thanks for pointing it out Steven, it’s definitely Unbreakable for me, my fave M Night film to date.
Olé for Jurassic Park, Licence to Kill and One Fine Day!
PS. If you’re stuck for a U how about Up Close and Personal?
Ahah, I knew you’d comment about One Fine Day. Ahah sorry, I like Up Close and Personal, but I’ve actually made up my mind about Unbreakable, it just got accidentally deleted.
Very cool post, Ruth!
Thanks Fernando! It’s a fun blogathon idea, are you gonna join in? 😉
I don’t know yet, Maybe 🙂

An East Texas answer to ‘Shaun of The Dead
Dr. Strangelove: Or How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb (1964)

Tucker & Dale vs. Evil (2010)
A great little twist on the backwoods thriller.
(The) Wicker Man (1973)
Superb Scottish village shocker. Put Edward Woodward and Christopher Lee back on the map!
Hi Kevin!
Bambi Meets Godzilla?? There’s actually a movie of that? Wow!
Nice pick of Dr. Strangelove for D, I might pick that if I decide to do the classic version of this list 😉
Wicker Man is one from Nic Cage I still need to see!
Hi, Ruth:
Bambi Meets Godzilla: 😀
And no. You really don’t need to see the Nic Cage re-make of ‘The Wicker Man’.
Great choices, Ruth. It’s hard coming up with the end of the alphabet, isn’t it? The Young Victoria. Nice one. 🙂
Some are easier than others but yeah, there are not many films starting w/ ‘Y’ that I’ve seen. I do love British monarch films and The Young Victoria is lovely.
Definitely love the Bond flicks on the list. Die Hard, X-Men, Last Crusade and Unbreakable are the other favorites. Oh M. Night you once had a promising career and own Hollywood, now you’re just a joke, lol.
Ahah yeah, wow how the once *mighty* has fallen. I still wish he’d make a good comeback tho.
Great to see Dalton her but it should be Living Daylights! Aha :p
He..he.. well y’know I actually like both but TLD is a bit bolder as it doesn’t look like the typical Bond film. But Dalton rules in both anyway 😉
I know you do! And that’s fine Ruth, I understand your reasoning, we shall just have to differ on which of Dalton’s is best!
10 Things I Hate About You!!!!! Why didn’t I think of that?
I LOVE that movie! That’s an easy pick for me 🙂
Some great choices Ruth. This is just way too much work for me to take part in! Big respect!
Thanks Mark! Ha..ha.. I hear ya man, it did take me a while to work on this one.
I wonder how many people chose X-Men for X?!
Ahah yeah, it’s such a limited selection but I happen to LOVE the X-Men franchise 😀
Awesome to see One Fine Day here! It’s one of my favorite romantic comedies and such a warm and charming movie.
It’s one of my fave rom-coms ever, I love how their kids sort of had a hand in getting ’em together!
Nice list 🙂
If I had more time, I would have done this blogathon too…too bad, no time at all 😦
I hear ya Nov, but hey you can always do it whenever you have a chance.
You’re a fan of The Man in the Iron Mask? Huh. It’s silly and heavy-handed, but I like it, too. 🙂
Yes I do! It’s one of my all time guilty pleasures tho no, I’m not so guilty for loving it. I love it more for the Musketeers actors (and Byrne as D’Artagnan) than Leo’s acting tho.
Me too. On all counts.
Very cool list! I like that you included Nowhere Boy — that one seems to have slipped under the radar, but it’s really quite good.
Glad you’ve seen Nowhere Boy. I like that it focuses on the pre-Beatles days of Lennon’s life. Aaron Johnson was excellent in it.
