A-Z Favorite Movie Titles Blogathon

FaveMovieTitleBlogathon

I’m a little late to this but I promised Brittani @ Rambling Film I’d do this when I get back from holiday. I can’t possibly missed not participating in her debut blogathon! Here are the rules:

1) Going through the alphabet, list your favorite movie title beginning with each letter.

2) You don’t have to necessarily like the movie to use it’s title.

3) Use the banner at the top of this post in yours.

4) Please have submissions in by Friday, May 30th*.

Now, even though Brittani said I don’t have to like the movie to use its title, my list consist of movies I love, not always a favorite but those I don’t mind seeing more than once. Of course there are a couple of guilty pleasures thrown in. For the purpose of narrowing things down, I’m only including movies from 90s and up. So here goes:

10 Things I Hate About You

Amazing Grace

Belle

Casino Royale

A-ZBlogathon_DieHard

Elizabeth

Four Weddings and A Funeral

Gladiator

How to Train Your Dragon

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

Thank you for participating! I’m glad you did. The King’s Speech and Nowhere Boy are great titles. I never really thought about those two before.

    1. Oh I wouldn’t miss it Brittani, it’s a great idea. I had fun making these, I might do another one w/ classic movies as I only go with titles from the 90s and up for this one 🙂

  2. Nice picks Ruth! Titles like Four Weddings and a Funeral, 10 Things I Hate About You, How to Train Your Dragon, and Zero Dark Thirty are pretty great, indeed.

    1. Oh my, I made one but for some reason it got deleted! Thanks for pointing it out Steven, it’s definitely Unbreakable for me, my fave M Night film to date.

    1. Ahah, I knew you’d comment about One Fine Day. Ahah sorry, I like Up Close and Personal, but I’ve actually made up my mind about Unbreakable, it just got accidentally deleted.

    Hi, Ruth:

    Bambi Meets Godzilla (1969)
Everything an animated short should be!

Can Heironymus Merkin Forget Mercy Humppe And Find True Happiness? (1969)
With Anthony Newlwy and Joan Collins.

    Dead & Breakfast (2004)
An East Texas answer to ‘Shaun of The Dead

Dr. Strangelove: Or How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb (1964)
    Kubrick’s Doomsday Black Comedy.

Oh, Dad. Poor Dad. Mama’s Hung You In The Closet and I’m Feeling So Sad (1967)
With Rosalind Russel and Robert Morse.

Tucker & Dale vs. Evil (2010)
A great little twist on the backwoods thriller.

    (The) Wicker Man (1973)
Superb Scottish village shocker. Put Edward Woodward and Christopher Lee back on the map!

    1. Hi Kevin!

Bambi Meets Godzilla?? There’s actually a movie of that? Wow!

Nice pick of Dr. Strangelove for D, I might pick that if I decide to do the classic version of this list 😉

Wicker Man is one from Nic Cage I still need to see!

        Hi, Ruth:

        Bambi Meets Godzilla: 😀

And no. You really don’t need to see the Nic Cage re-make of ‘The Wicker Man’.

    1. Some are easier than others but yeah, there are not many films starting w/ ‘Y’ that I’ve seen. I do love British monarch films and The Young Victoria is lovely.

  4. Ted S.

Definitely love the Bond flicks on the list. Die Hard, X-Men, Last Crusade and Unbreakable are the other favorites. Oh M. Night you once had a promising career and own Hollywood, now you’re just a joke, lol.

    1. He..he.. well y’know I actually like both but TLD is a bit bolder as it doesn’t look like the typical Bond film. But Dalton rules in both anyway 😉

    1. Yes I do! It’s one of my all time guilty pleasures tho no, I’m not so guilty for loving it. I love it more for the Musketeers actors (and Byrne as D’Artagnan) than Leo’s acting tho.

    1. Glad you’ve seen Nowhere Boy. I like that it focuses on the pre-Beatles days of Lennon’s life. Aaron Johnson was excellent in it.
