The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards is just around the corner… it’s set to air on ABC at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Sunday, Sept. 15.
I have been watching more TV the past year so I’ve been paying more attention to it than I usually would and I’ve always been a fan of fashion and costume design on films and TV. Well, earlier this year, I had the pleasure of stumbling across Resa McConaghy‘s blog Graffiti Lux Art & More where she posts stunning mural art from all over her hometown of Toronto. I love her work as a photographer, but then I found out she’s an Emmy voter and has worked on various TV series and films from 1988 until as recently as 2017.
Ever since then, I’ve been admiring the fabulous gowns she’s designed that she posts on her other blog Art Gowns (natch!)… so I thought how fun would it be to chat about this year’s costume design nominees. So read on and enjoy!
Firstly, I’d like to know how you got started in the business and what your first design job was for.
Briefly, After graduating from Fashion Design College, I had a boutique on Queen Street W. in Toronto. I designed and made (with 2 helpers) all the fashions. It was a hand-to-mouth reality.
One day a producer for commercials came into the boutique. She said she worked at a commercial house, where I had been interviewed a few months ago. She had also seen a fashion show I had put on a few weeks earlier. She said they could not find anyone in the Film Union they were signed to, who could make men’s dress shirts fit several Adonis busts. It was for an Arrow Shirts commercial. Could I do that? I said yes. The next thing I was on set, and the shirts looked 100%.
After that, they got me into the Union and kept hiring me to style commercials. I did about 200+ commercials over the next several years. I built up a demo reel with these along with costumes I did for film shorts, rock videos, and low-budget films.
I also did dailies on high-budget films, did full-time set work on a few films as the “Truck Supervisor”, worked as a sewer in the design room, and once as the Assistant Designer. Then I got a break and designed my first decent-budget film, First Degree, starring Rob Lowe.
What do you think about this year’s Emmy nominations overall?
I think the nominations are terrific. The shows get better every year, I suppose because there is more competition every year.
Who do you think will win in each of the 5 costume design categories?
Ed note: You can see the full costume design nominees here
These are [my predictions of] who I think will win, but not necessarily who I will vote for.
Outstanding Period Costumes For A Series: Shōgun
Outstanding Period Costumes For A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie: Mary and George
Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes: Fallout
Outstanding Contemporary Costumes For A Series: The Crown
Outstanding Contemporary Costumes For A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie: The Regime
Since we’ve been talking about SHŌGUN often on each other’s blogs, which costume from SHŌGUN is your particular favorite and why?
I can’t pick a favorite costume(s), Ruth. Each piece of wardrobe is a work of art. The designer did a magnificent job. After all, he couldn’t go back in time, so he had to utilize all research via drawings, paintings, and the written word.
His attention to detail in the kimonos is a joy to behold, from the fabrics to execution. His interpretation and creation of not just the kimonos, but the warrior and samurai, the peasants, and the rock star in the castle is breathtaking and award-winning.
Switching gears to another period drama… THE GILDED AGE with its dramatic frocks. What are some of your favorite costumes from this show?
Picking my favorite dresses from this show is like picking expensive chocolates, without a map, from a golden box.
The opening of Season 3 is amazing. All the gowns parading down the street, are works of art. With all the men in flat black, the colors and textures pop beautifully. Same in the last episode at the Opera, magnificent!
Blue is a great color! As a matter of fact, my favorite dress in season 3 is icy blue. (Episode 3) I found this shot online.

Why this dress?
The design on the way to the décolletage is exciting, and I know from a building perspective how difficult it was to pull off.
The V torso shape, the crushed hip drape to one side, and the draped tiered bustle are perfect.
After all the heavy patterns and embellishments, I find the solid color and simple use of texture (satin and self-striped voile) of this dress a relief, and easy on my 21st-century eye.
It’s one of the few gowns we get to see in its entirety, for any length of time. We see how it presents full while standing, flows while walking around, and works in various reclining positions. Many of the gowns do not get this photographic exposé, so I‘m sure that affected me.
I took these from the TV. I searched online, but couldn’t find what I wanted.

These are also fab, whatever the season or episode…

Since we share our admiration for Tokyo Vice, what do you think about the lack of nomination for that series? What other shows do you think are ’snubbed’ this year?
There are 2 reasons for the Tokyo Vice snub:
1 – The volume of shows. The volume of shows vying for a nom in any 1 category is overwhelming. For me, I only nominate from shows I have actually watched. I do get access to all shows vying in all categories, but there is a limit to my time. EMMY magazine runs a lot of articles & Ads. FYC (For Your Consideration) There was not a lot of Tokyo Vice and a lot of other shows. Some shows just have larger AD budgets.
2 – The competition is stiff. The Crown, Shogun, The Gilded Age, The Morning Show, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, 3 Body Problem, Slow Horses & Fallout are the norms for Best Drama Series. Of those, IMO, Tokyo Vice is way better than 3 of the noms. That is personal professional judgment, as are all norms.
Although it did get a Best Period Costumes nomination, The New Look did not get any other nominations. Apparently, it had some not-good reviews, but all I could find were good reviews. IMO everything from sets to costumes, to acting to photography is A+.
When you’re designing an actor for a particular role, how much of the character’s personality affects your design? Can you give me an example?
Character articulation affects a major percentage of my ideas.
Christine Baranski’s character in the Lifetime RomCom Recipe for a Perfect Christmas (with Carly Pope & Bobby Cannavale) was a cool challenge.
She played a mother (45 – 50-ish) who in her mind and spirit is younger than her years. It was scripted that she dresses young, out of her age group.
So, I shopped at hip, trendy boutiques that catered to women in their 20’s and 30’s. Styles in these shops were right for the character. However, I was careful to select pieces that would look good on Christine, and not make a mockery of her, and therefore the character. Working for us was the fact that Christine was in tip-top shape, fit into the sizes, and pulled it all together with her performances
Who are some of your favorite celebrities you’ve dressed for a film/TV?
Easy one! Helen Mirren, Jeremy Irons, Bobby Cannavale, Christine Baranski, Vanessa Williams, Billy Zane, Danny Glover, Julie Delpy, Raven–Symoné, Christopher Plummer, Brian Dennehey, Ted Danson, Vivica Fox, Daniel Baldwin, Wood Harris, Whoopi Goldberg, Valerie Bertinelli, Sissy Spacek, Holly Hunter, Sam Waterston and I’m sure I’ll think of more but will stop now 🙂
I received this note from Helen Mirren after we wrapped The Passion of Ayn Rand which I’m quite proud of. She is a consummate professional, and her praise is a high mark.

I found a Polaroid of me with Danny Glover. He and Whoopi Goldberg were in a movie I designed costumes for “Good Fences”. I designed & had all his suits custom-made. He loved them so much that he had the tailor make him a batch to take home.

On a related note, what are some of your favorite costume pieces you’ve designed that you’d cherish forever?
Gee! Well, many of the Costumes from Hendrix remain in my collection. The guitar is my favorite instrument, and following that I am a huge Hendrix fan. The main piece is the Fringe Jacket Jimi wore at Woodstock.

Of course, this piece is a historic copy, as are several other pieces in the movie. Beyond that, the rest of the wardrobe is very few copied pieces and mostly representational extrapolations. He had around 100 costume changes.
Much of the wardrobe I designed for A House Divided is special. All of the wardrobe needed to be designed, as the story takes place from around 1830 to 1890.

The photo is the cover image/poster of the movie. It is during the Civil War. The Hoops in Amanda’s (Jennifer Beals) dress shows. During the war, women gave up their petticoats for bandages. Hence, the hoops showed through. I went for reality here.
Vanessa Williams’s wardrobe in Keep The Faith, Baby was all designed by me, and I love it to this day, especially her 2 main gowns. All of the wardrobe in this movie is special to me.
I’m very fond of the outfits I designed for the song Cinderella in the Disney movie The Cheetah Girls.
The red dupioni silk dress for Helen Mirren in The Passion of Ayn Rand is special.
Thanks for taking the time for this Q&A, Resa!
Hope you enjoy our Q&A! What are your thoughts about Resa’s costumes and/or this year’s Emmy nominations?

A wonderful conversation, Ruth and Resa! Resa, I didn’t realize just how amazing your career has been until seeing this interview. 🙂
Thanks for popping over and commenting Dave!
Yeah, my career took a really great turn when I started working for American companies. Hollywood is fab! 🤗
Thanks for having me over, Ruth! It’s been fun, and I’m now most curious to see how my predictions come out.
I’d better get a couple right. Of course, often the ones I vote for are not the chosen. I’ll be back!
Thank YOU, Resa… the honor is all mine. You are so very generous with your time and attention in answering my questions. I so appreciate you sharing your phenomenal work and some of your favorite moments/mementos, etc which got me and others geeking out. Man, you’ve actually dressed Christopher Plummer!! I haven’t asked you about him but what a gorgeous man… I LOVE him as Capt. Von Trapp of course but he’s great as a ‘villain’ as well in Somewhere in Time.
As for your predictions, hey you got two right!! SHOGUN and THE CROWN won in their respective categories. https://deadline.com/2024/09/emmys-2024-winners-list-1236081140/
I’m thrilled for SHOGUN winning a total of 14 Emmys during the two-day Creative Arts portion of the Emmy Awards!! Let’s hope they will win big in the acting category as well, rooting for Anna Sawai!
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. LOVE seeing the post flooded by your fans… you truly are an amazing artist and woman 😍
Ahaha! Shogun and The Crown..
Ahsoka .. eeeee – no comment.
I hope Gemstones and Baby Reindeer do something in the best of categories. Baby Reindeer was really something.
Anyway, I had a lot of fun doing this interview. THANK YOU!
Yes, Christopher Plummer, He was a joy!
I spent a fortune on his wardrobe. The clothes for the entire movie had one budget, and there was a separate budget for his wardrobe. LOL!
We worked very closely together.
In my hopeful memoir, I should include my memories of a couple of hilarious episodes with him while on the project.
I did get in 1 night with Christopher and the seamstress an a bottle of wine. I have pic of us. He told fab stories, much like Jeremy.
Okay, I’ll be back tomorrow to finish any comments.
Nice that I have fans, and I am a fan of theirs. Everyone I follow is fabulously creative.
Right now, I’m making a cup of tea, and drawing!
🌹❦
Hey Resa!! I’m so happy that Shogun ended up sweeping the Emmys!! 🤩 What about you? I didn’t watch the show but did see the highlights and saw some of the acceptance speeches.
Christopher Plummer getting his own wardrobe budget, wow!! But can’t say I’m surprised… he was quite a legend!! I’d love to see the photo of you and him… please email me when you get a chance 😉
I sent you an email btw, not sure if you’ve seen it. Thank you again for collaborating… perhaps we can do it again next year? 🥰 Love you!! 😘
Yes, Shogun is very deserving.
I replied to our mail, so by now you know my fave part of the show was Jelly Roll’s song during the “In-Memoriam”.
Will send the pic of Christopher soon!
Next year sounds great!
I have to head out, and will visit Flix Chatter later!
Love Ya, too! 😘😘
Wahoo!! Now I’m already looking forward to next year’s EMMYs!!
Me too!
it is so nice to have read this interview with Resa. She is very talented and a wonderful person too. I loved that letter from Helen Mirren. It just shows how professional Resa is in all things. Congratulations to Resa on this lovely interview and all her work. 🐂
Thank you dear John!
I’m thrilled you came over, read and commented. Ruth is a lot of fun to talk shop with. I’m honoured she had me over for an interview.
She is also a filmmaker. She’s already done a short, and I shall be watching it soon!
🐂
I enjoyed the interview. 🐂🐖
Thank you! 🐂🐖
Hi Ruth, this is an amazing interview with Resa. She’s had such a wonderful and interesting career. I love the colour of that ice blue dress. It is always great to learn more about Resa. 💗
Robbie!
Thank you tons for reading and commenting!
It was a great career, and if the right project came along, I would still get up at 4:00 am and work 14 hours. Lol!
However, I want to do my thing now, with the Art Gowns. I’d love to get an actor (male or female) to wear one to TIFF! 🌹💓
Hi Resa, I understand your comment about the right project. I still like my job when a good project comes along. Sadly, the South African economy has been ruined by corruption and greed so good projects are very rare. It was very different when I started in 1997 and there was a lot of investment and hope. It is nice to be able to do your own thing. I like my art and writing.
I have absolute confidence in Resa’s fashion “eye” and agree with her choices. I’m particularly impressed with her design style for Christine Baranski who is fabulous with a figure that never seems to age. My personal disappointment was the series The Regime. But then that just my humble opinion. Congrats Resa, you’re amazing king and so talented. I look forward to your fashion choices each year. xx
Thank you for the interview and the pic of Resa with Danny Grover and high praise from Helen Mirren. Great job and questions, Resa is truly our greatest fashionista yet always a down to earth lovely lady.
xoxo
Dear Holly,
I know! Christine keeps herself in beautiful shape. She looks amazing in “The Gilded Age”.
UCH! Regime was awful. I watched 2.5 episodes, then cacked out.
However, the costumes could win, in its category. Like I said in the interview, I didn’t necessarily vote for who I thought “would win”. I tend to be somewhat rebellious with my choices. Of course, I’d tell you in private! I didn’t even tell Norm.
Danny Glover is an absolute DOLL! Working with Helen was a dream come true.
I’ve got to thank Showtime! They are a fab company to work with, and gave me a start with the American Companies.
Meece, I’m 2 nights into a Janis drawing. I can’t believe how good it is. I hope I don’t muck it up! I’ll take pics along the way. Tonight…a bit of shading, and testing colours for the feathers I drew last night.
xoxoxo
You deserve so much credit for watching and offering your professional opinion on these series . I think you could definitely spot the most deserving.
Haha, what happened with The Regime? I was shocked at how bad it was. Nice costuming though.
I’m so excited about Janis. I knew you could do a great job with her. So much personality and emotional expression on that girl and if anyone can capture it you can.
Take your time … I’m looking forward to bringing it alive but n hurry.
Thanks again for this you two. I loved it and such as great idea!
❤️
Ruth did a fab job with this interview. I am grateful.
Regime was ..not good. It had a lot of promise, but went south. Lots of promo $ though.
I’m so happy to see you here!
Just making tea, a fat one, and going to work on J…a little piece of heart tonight!
xxoo
I was excited about Regime but yeah, I kept waiting for the good part. Can’t wait for J!
Lol… waiting for the good part!
It never came.
SENT a 40% done Janis, for you to see, and get feedback.
I’m at the stage where I take pics as I progress through the art…just in case! xx
Hahaha, it never happened! So true and they really tried.
Love the progress updates. Thank you dear Merced.

(are you tuning in the debate (debacle)
Yes, I’m tuned in. Never has a debate been so important, we’re at a place we have never been , this is the most important election in our history. Perhaps in the world. Trump is completely deranged.
Is there a beyond completely deranged?Because I think he is there.
The scary part is many in the USA must be deranged, too. After all they are blindly dedicated to him.
Agree, the most important election for the USA & for sure the world.
Europe is hanging by their teeth. The saddest thing would be if the USA became an autocratic dictatorship.
SIGH!
This effects Canada, too.
He’s completely insane and unfit to ever hold power , he has brainwashed his MAGA cult who will vote for a felon who by law is not supposed to be allowed to be in the military much less be there commander in chief , or to vote even for himself.
He was an old, ugly, lying, 500 pound melting troll last night.
When, oh when will his brainwashing wear off?
Harris was presidential.
Yay, Taylor endorsed Harris.
xoxox
Seems like no matter how deranged his rants get nothing can stop the MAGA cult.
If he’s speaking he’s lying.
Yay for Taylor , she’s a savvy Cat Lady ❤️
xoxoxo
Agree!

Thanks for sharing this interview. I really enjoyed learning more about Resa!
Thank you for popping over and reading, Dan! I appreciate it!
What a fascinating interview! I loved getting to know more about Resa’s costume design work.
Liz,
Yes, Ruth did a terrific job with the interview.
I really like her film reviews, and she is an aspiring filmmaker.
Thanks for dropping by!
My pleasure, Resa!
Brilliant questions. This was amazing. Resa you are amazing. Hoping all your predicitons are correct. xxx
Thank you Shey!
Yes.. good thing I don’t have $$$ down on my picks.
Still, just because I think they’ll win, doesn’t mean I voted for them. (I did for some).
If my predictions are 100%, I’m getting a mystic tattoo, and becoming a fortune teller! xxxx
OH! Ruth did ask good questions. She is a cool host and this was fun!
Awww thank you Resa! Coming up with the questions was fun.. but I think you deserve more credit in answering them, he..he..
Lol… Thank you!
This was absolutely fabulous! I love hearing about Resa’s stories and exploits. Such a talented and wonderful woman! xoxo
Dale,
I’m thrilled you read the interview. Yes…exploits…did I ever tell you the story of how I came to get a fabulous triple mirror that was custom made for Kathleen Turner?
She was working on a show with Burt Reynolds and Christopher Reeves.
I was just a shoe shining newbie in the biz… well, I’ll just copy this and add it to a page in my ongoing attempt to document my…… exploits.
xoxo(⚡️💥)
Absolutely! You must!!!
xoxo 🧚♀️🌟xoxo

💞
Resa is fabulous. Flat out, all the way, fabulous. Loved the interview.
Thank you Gi!! I adore you! xx
Great interview! I am sure working with recreations of Hendrix outfits would be a whole lot of fun, even though I am sure a lot of work. lol, I know, there was so much here, but of course that is what I would pick out… I enjoyed the movie clips. No clue about the Emmy Awards, but it is great to read the enthusiasm for some of the shows.
Thanks Trent!
Ruth asked some good questions, and put this entire article together really well.
I’m not surprised you picked Hendrix. It was a highlight… and one of the craziest shows I ever worked on.
I wish I would have saved some of the call sheets… the ones from Monterey & Woodstock had cast lists 2 pages long. There were names of all the famous musicians on the calls: Peter Townsend, Keith Moon, Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker, etc. (all actors of course).
Thank you big for dropping by and reading!
Such a great interview. I’m always amazed by Resa! 💙
Thank you very much, Merril! I am always amazed by you. 💙
You’re welcome, Resa! 💙
💙
Hello Ruth and firstly nice to meet you. I have been a friend of Resa for a few years now and always thought she was fantastic and her career fascinating. I have chatted to her about some of the people she has worked with and designed for and I thought “Wow how cool is that, you worked with Christopher Plummer! (<or insert another name)”. I thought these names were the pinnacle of her portfolio but then in interviews like yours Resa further surprises me with her list of Who’s Who with Baranski, Lowe, Mirren, Beals and Glover and I think , well this resume is just plain crazy.
However the greatest thing is that Resa is very generous with her knowledge and enthusiasm and has helped me with my designing (although I work in a completely different medium) through her comments and chats on my designs….So I’d like to offer her a massive thanks and to you, Ruth for sharing this marvellous interview. Enjoy the Emmys!
Thank you , Tyeth!
I appreciate that you popped over, read and your enthusiasm.
Ruth did a fab job with this interview, and I am tickled pink.
You wrote a most lovely comment, for which I am honoured.
Talk care! (I’m still thinking you need Disney+ . Your sabre designs would get a HUGE inspiration)
A week to the Emmys!
Hi Tyeth, Resa is indeed fantastic and so freakishly talented!! She’s so humble too having worked with so many amazing people, though I think THEY are the lucky ones to get to be dressed by Resa!
Yeah Christopher Plummer, wow! And Helen Mirren… those are legends!!
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment… we both appreciate it!!
Loving everything about this interview, and the costumes. Hendrix must have been a dream🧞🤤
Thank you Mr. Experience!
I apologize. If I knew your name, I have forgotten.
Yes, Hendrix was a zenith. I am fortunate! 🤗🎸
Thanks for the fun and informative interview Ruth. It seems Resa has many creative talents and an interesting background with costume design. Kudos Resa.
Thank you for popping over and reading Brad!
Ruth has been a wonderful host. Her film reviews are now my go-to reviews.
Take care!
My pleasure Rest!
I’m a recent follower of Resa’s blog, and have enjoyed her celebration of mural art. I didn’t realize that Resa had designed lots of clothing for TV and movies! Cool how she has designed for different time periods and styles. And that’s a glowing note from Helen Mirren. Resa is definitely talented!
Yay!
Thanks for coming over and reading, Dave!
It was a fab time doing this project with Ruth. She has been most generous.
If you need a film review, this is the place to come!
I so loved this beautiful chat about how Resa got started.. And Resa’s beautiful designs are wonderful… Having worked in the textile trade for many years myself in the past.. I know what goes into design, the cutting and sewing of garments..
Resa, I have always praised your own beautiful handsewn gowns, but seeing the collection of designs you have been responsible for here is amazing..
And what praise from Helen Mirren… 🙂 Something to always cherish..
Thankyou for hosting Resa, and I shall now look upon the Emmy awards with a new focus 🙂
Much love to you both.. ❤
Hello Sue,
Thank you for coming over and reading.
Ruth writes fab film reviews, so it is an honour to be featured on her blog.
You and I are both involved in creating with fibres at the moment, you with your yarns and knitting – me with my textile trash. I find zen time when I do sewing by hand. The same with knitting.
Much love back to you, too, Sue!
Exactly that Resa, our creativity is our form of meditation. It allows us to focus on the now, taking us away from the distractions of the past and future.
There is only the ever present now.
Happy creating, Resa..
Much love ❤️ 😍 💖
Love back! ❤️ 😍 💖
Fascinating! I love learning more about your career, Resa.
Thank you so much Becky!
I’m thrilled you came over and read the interview.
Be well!
Truly enjoyed it, Resa! Take care!
🤗
What a wonderful, extraordinary interview Ruth and Resa!!! Congratulations, Resa! Your extraordinary life is a testament to your incredible talent, creativity, and relentless hard work. I am looking forward to following the adventures that lie ahead for you. You inspire me with every post, every design, and every photo. I am grateful that the universe brought us together. Sending many hugs across the miles to your side of Canada.
Thank you, Rebecca!
Ruth got lots out of me. Then again we both love the film biz. She is actually a young filmmaker. She does fab reviews.
We shall no doubt be getting ourselves into lots of creative entanglements in the future.
What a great problem.
Hugs and smiles back at ya!
🤗🤗🤗
🤗🤗🤗
Wonderful. What an impressive list of talents to have dressed up. Christopher Plummer being perhaps the most elegant?
Oh yes!
Christopher was one of the most elegant. Nothing but the best for Christopher. I had 2 budgets for costumes. One for the entire cast in the movie, and one for Christopher.
Same with Charles Bronson and Kim Cattrall.. and some others.
Jeremy Irons was pretty elegant as well. He wore a 1939 style tuxedo I designed for him to the Oscars one year.
Thank you for popping by and reading, Brian!
Always a pleasure Resa. Some people seem to have an inbred elegance. Even with very different body language such as Irons and Bronson… Must be fun to find the right… cut and textiles.
Thanks for sharing… 🙏🏻💕
Yes, it is fun, in a way.
I think I was fortunate in that I always had good rapport with the actors.
Irons and Bronson are completely different.
I gotta say, Jeremey is wildly charming. 🌹❦
Very fortunate indeed. I imagine some might be… (Not that nice?)
I can imagine Irons very charming… A gentleman in this day and age?
Yes…he’s very much a gentleman! (with a twinkle in his eye and some loveable scoundrel in his heart.) He’s one of my very faves!
A gentleman with a twinkle in his eye and lovable scoundrel in his heart, I love the sound of that!! 😍
Oh my! Jeremey was so much fun. We spent time discussing his character’s wardrobe in his trailer together. 🤭
Oh, the stories!
I was so impressed, that I wrote him a poem when the movie was over.
I wonder if he kept it?
I can imagine the twinkle. He’s a good actor. Comes from within, I guess…
I’m sure!
Wow, what a great interview. Resa, I am blown away by your amazing resume. And that letter from Helen Mirren! You’re a living legend. ❤ It was a pleasure getting to know more about your exciting life in fashion. Also, thanks for letting me know there is going to be a season 3 with The Gilded Age. It’s been two years since the last season. Looking forward to the gown parade! Hugs ❤ xxx
Hahaha! You are funny Debby. Living legend…let’s dial that back a bit and say…living!
Thank you so much for coming over to Ruth’s and reading the article. It was a fun project, and she has been kind and generous.
Yes, the gown parade! You know how much I love gowns… brrrrrr!
You’re the bees knees gf! HUGS! xoxo💓🌹
My absolute pleasure! 🙂 ❤ ❤
Such a wonderful conversation ❣️❣️❣️
Thank you, Luisa! 🌹❦
Truly my pleasure, dear Resa 🫶
I hadn’t fully realized how incredible Resa’s career was, even though I was fully aware of her wonderful talent,
Thank you Luisa!
You know, it goes by so fast. Too fast, for those who love what they do.
Now I love making the Art Gowns. I hope that doesn’t go by as fast.
Hmm, perhaps that is one of the reasons I sew them by hand? I’m trying to make time go slower.
LOL! 🌹❦🌹❦
Hi Ruth. Wow, I’m so sorry to have missed this post. You and Resa had a wonderful conversation. I always enjoy hearing about her costume design work. The gowns she focuses on now are marvels of creativity and beauty. Hugs to you both.
