If you’ve seen Office Space, then you know Mike Judge is great at comedies set in the workplace. The trailer had me in stitches even after repeated viewings! Extract stars Jason Bateman (Juno, Arrested Development) who plays Joel, the owner of a bottled beverage factory. He is one step away from selling his flavor extract factory and retiring to easy street when a freak workplace accident sets in motion a series of disasters that put his business and personal life in jeopardy.

Bateman looks hilarious here with his deadpan and stoic expression, kind of reminds me of Steve Carell’s comedic style. And you can always count on J.K. Simmons, who stole scenes as Peter Parker’s boss in the Spiderman franchise, to bring on the funny. An unrecognizable Ben Affleck looks like he’s in his element here, I think he should stick to comedic roles as an actor, and reserve dramas/thrillers for his directing projects (i.e. the excellent Gone, Baby, Gone). Affleck plays Joel’s fun-loving & free-spirited buddy Dean. I love his reaction when he first sees the gorgeous Mila Kunis, his comedic timing is spot on!

“Temp.”
