Can’t believe it’s been nearly three months since the Alamo Drafthouse in Woodbury (the only Twin Cities location so far) suddenly shut down due to a franchisee going bankrupt. The Texas-based chain revealed that all six locations affected by the bankruptcy were set to reopen in August, and last August 27 was the Woodbury location’s grand reopening.
If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, then head to the movies and enjoy $5 tickets and 25% off select menu items until Sept. 9. More details here.
I got an invite to see a movie there this week so I opted to see yesterday evening. The juice is loose at Alamo Drafthouse Woodbury! I love how the entire wall by the entrance was decorated with Tim Burton‘s horror comedy sequel…

If you go to their official website, they even have spooky specials going on all through the month of September, including Beetlejuice-themed Menu for a limited time.
The Woodbury location boasts 9 screens, each with digital 4k projection and great surround sound. I love the comfy leather reclined seats and it’s so nice to get food and drinks delivered right to your seat! Ivan and I got the Vegan Cauliflower Bites with sweet Gochujang sauce, Grilled Chicken Club and Cobb Salad, all of them were freshly prepared and yummy!
The service was excellent and they weren’t disruptive when they delivered the items during the movie, all in all, it was a fabulous moviegoing experience, so thanks, Alamo Drafthouse Woodbury!
