Members of the Minnesota Film Critics Alliance have spoken! Every January, ahead of the Academy Awards, MNFCA members get to select nominees for the MNFCA Awards. The historical fiction Oppenheimer by director Christopher Nolan has been nominated in 13 categories, the most by any film in MNFCA history. Also with a strong showing in this year’s awards was Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, which earned three wins, including Best Ensemble. So Barbenheimer is still alive and well with MNFCA voters!!

  1. Awesome picks. I just finished watching Killers of the Flower Moon yesterday as Lily Gladstone right now is my front runner. Next Best Picture nominee might be either Past Lives (finally available on Paramount + via Amazon Prime) and The Holdovers which I’ve rented on YouTube waiting to be watched.

    1. Hope you see Past Lives and The Holdovers soon!! Glad to see those small-budget films made a big impact this year. LOVE both of those, esp. Past Lives!

Let's start a conversation
