Last year, I covered Queen of Hearts: A Twin Peaks Fan Film, an impressive undertaking and a clear labor of love from filmmaker Cameron Cloutier. The multi-part series focused on FBI Agent Dale Cooper (Nico Abiera)’s history with his partner Windom Earle (Paul Griffith) and Earle’s wife Caroline (Charlotte Roi) as well as Annie Blackburn (Madison Bates)’s journey following her escape from the Black Lodge. Now, Cameron is working on getting his next Twin Peaks project off the ground, and he was kind enough to answer a few questions I had about it.

Queen of Hearts cast: Nico Abiera, Madison Bates & Ruby Hetherington
While his second project will be a true continuation of Queen of Hearts, it will also branch out into a second story intertwined with Annie’s. “There is also a second story introduced that takes place in One Eyed Jacks which also ties in with the plights and fates of Annie, Cooper, and Carrie/Laura,” Cameron hints. “It is truly going to be something to see all these threads be torn in new, fun, and exciting ways.”
As far as runtime goes, Cameron doesn’t expect his follow-up film to be as long as Queen of Hearts, although he does note “That being said, I always assumed Queen of Hearts would be close to the length of Fire Walk With Me (2 hours and 15 minutes) so imagine my surprise when the final cut clocked in at four hours.” Despite its unexpected length, releasing the first film in separate acts ended up being an effective way of telling the story- one Cameron will probably use in the second film. “I will most likely do the same release strategy for the continuation because the feedback in regards to the whole experience was overwhelming and extraordinary.”

Madison Bates as Annie Blackburn
While Cameron is still early in the creative process (“I’m currently in the middle of the writing process […and] have begun to reach out to potential actors about a few roles”), he wants to get the word out about his latest project right away so fans can keep an eye out for updates. He plans on sharing a crowdfunding campaign within the next couple of months, but until then, there are other ways for fans to support the film. “First and foremost, help spread the word,” Cameron urges. “There are a tremendous amount of Twin Peaks fans who still haven’t heard about Queen of Hearts yet.”

Otherwise, following the film’s various social media accounts helps too. Just search for “Queen of Hearts: A Twin Peaks Fan Film” on Facebook, X, and Instagram for updates regarding the project and the upcoming crowdfunding campaign. the YouTube channel “Obnoxious and Anonymous” will also have video updates posted as well.
Queen of Hearts was a tremendous accomplishment, and I’m absolutely looking forward to seeing what Cameron has in store for his audience next!
You can currently watch the first four acts on the film’s YouTube channel, Here’s the Queen of Hearts continuation promo video:

I need to check this out as I have the first short in my recommendations on my YouTube feed.
Awesome, thanks Steven!
There are a pair of “continuation” teasers.
Cloutier might discourage this statement – that his high resolution channel on youtube that quite a number of Lynch admirers have accessed since
2012 is less than ten subscribers from an appropriate 4k number.
Thought provoking Interviews are compiled in a twenty count or so playlist.
Cloutier’s 2018 to present fan film “dream” project teasers and varied related trailers remain quite a bit of tangible fun.
Thank you for the descriptive postings of Cameron support.
