Amen on all you said about Dalton! I wish he'd guest star in MORE tv shows, or better yet, get his own show!! I'm always baffled how someone as gorgeous and talented as him not get more work y'know. All his peer Shakespearean actors like Anthony Hopkins, Patrick Stewart, have no trouble getting work :( To be honest with you, I was watching Chuck in the first season but then lost interest, but of course I had to watch all the Dalton episodes!

Hello again Zoë!! Always glad to hear such a kindred spirits on the blogosphere :D

I think it's cool that you're doing a Bond marathon, can't wait to hear what you think of Dalton's two Bond outings, which of course are great ;) I do love Casino Royale and Skyfall, though Quantum of Solace, not so much.

But to me, I really think if Dalton were playing those two movies, I think it'd be EXTRA awesome. Somehow he got the short end of the stick with his two films as he was 1) way ahead of his time 2) budget issues made Licence to Kill look cheap and it wasn't marketed very well. Otherwise though, his performance is fantastic and that's why he's still my favorite Bond.

All of these picks are pretty good. I'm glad there was some love thrown in the direction of Face/Off, which is also one of my favorite action films of the 90's or any decade.
Though I like all of your selections, I'd probably only include the last battle in Terminator 2 in my top 5. The other four, off the top of my head, would be: the last fight in The Raid: Redemption (pure adrenaline); Ripley against the Alien Queen in Aliens; the last stand of the group of heroes rescuing Ryan in Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan; and the last sequence of Predator between a battered Arnold and one beautiful monster.

I know The Blues Brothers isn't an action film by any means, but the totally outrageous, over-the-top car chase scene between the cops and Jake and Elwood at the end is by far my favorite "action" ending of all times ;-D
